About the race
The Georgina Spring Fling is a road race event in Jacksons Point, Georgina, Ontario, held along Lake Drive on the shore of Lake Simcoe. The event offers multiple certified distances:
- Marathon
- Half marathon
- 10 km run/walk
- 5 km run/walk
The marathon is a certified Boston qualifier. The marathon, half marathon and 10 km courses carry Athletics Canada certification. All finishers receive a finisher medal and a custom event shirt. The course is described as fast, flat and scenic, and there is community spectator support and music along parts of the route.
Aid stations are placed at approximately every 2.5 km and provide water and XACT electrolyte drink; no gels or other nutrition are supplied. Portable toilets are available at each aid station and at the half marathon turnaround. Marathon participants may use a self-serve special needs bag table placed on the course; bags must be clearly marked with bib numbers.
Strollers and dogs are not allowed on course. Parking at certain lots requires a pre-purchased VIP parking pass; free overflow parking is available in nearby lots with shuttle service to the start/finish area. Transfers between distances are permitted until April 28, 2027 for a fee. The event follows Athletics Ontario sanctioning and event-specific cancellation and weather policies.
