About the race
Georgina Spring Fling 2027 is a multi-distance road running event held in Jacksons Point, Georgina, on the shore of Lake Simcoe. The event includes the following distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10 km run/walk
- 5 km run/walk
The course runs along Lake Drive beside Lake Simcoe and is certified by Athletics Canada. Certification numbers listed are ON-2021-019a-BDC for the marathon and half marathon, and ON-2023-001a-BDC for the 10 km. Athletics Ontario sanctions event operations.
Aid stations are placed approximately every 2.5 km and provide water and XACT electrolyte drink; no gels or other nutrition are supplied. Portable toilets are available at each aid station and at the half marathon turn around. Marathon participants may use a self-serve special needs table; bags must be marked with bib numbers and will be set out in bib order.
Pace groups are provided for a range of finish targets for both the half marathon and the marathon. All finishers receive a finisher medal and a custom event shirt. Strollers and dogs are not allowed on course. Participation requires acceptance of a waiver.
Parking includes limited VIP lots that require a pre-purchased VIP parking pass and several overflow lots with shuttle service to the race area. Race kit pick up is offered at scheduled locations in Oakville, Toronto, and Georgina before race day.
The event policy states no cancellations or refunds; in certain cancellations a virtual event option may be offered and transfers between distances are allowed until April 28, 2027 for an administration fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
