Ugly Sweater 5k Canicross and Trail Run/Walk
The event takes place on Saturday, December 5, 2026 at the Kortright Centre for Conservation in Woodbridge, ON. It features a timed 5k canicross and trail run or walk, plus a short festive 1k Elf Run for children. Participants are encouraged to wear holiday sweaters, onesies or festive outfits and there will be prizes for the ugliest sweater.

The 5k course is a loop on trails around the Kortright Centre that includes single and double-track sections, hills, fields, bridges and other trail features. Included with registration are a bib, park entrance fee, race swag, post-race food and hot beverages, prizes, timing and awards, free high-resolution photos, and access to the Kortright Winter Wonders event.
This event raises funds for the Daily Bread Food Bank; a portion of registration fees will be donated and attendees may contribute cash, online donations, or non-perishable food items at the event or via drop-off to the food bank.
Basic rules apply: no strollers, no headphones, and no bikes or other non-running equipment on course. Canicross entrants must use canicross-specific harness, bungee and waist belt, keep dogs leashed at all times, maintain spacing from other teams, and follow passing and cleanup etiquette. The organizer may cancel or modify the event for dangerous conditions. No refunds or deferrals are offered; bib transfers are allowed.
