About the race
The event is a holiday road race held on December 26, 2026 at Shorty Howell Park in Duluth, Georgia. The primary distance offered is 5K (3.1 miles). The race benefits Rainbow Village, a nonprofit that provides housing and supportive programs for families who have experienced homelessness. The Duluth campus includes 30 apartments available to families for up to two years; in 2024 the organization served 50 families. The fundraiser notes that a target of $2,000 would provide 10 beds.
Post-race activities include red beans and rice, snacks, DJ music, raffle prizes and age group awards. A long sleeve T-shirt is mentioned as part of entry, but shirt availability is limited: the T-shirt is guaranteed only for those who register by the organizer's pre-race deadline, shirts are available while supplies last, and a $10 refund will be issued if a registrant does not receive a shirt. Participants who register late may pay a reduced fee because a T-shirt cannot be guaranteed; if extra shirts are available on race morning they may be sold for $10.
T-shirt and bib pick up will take place at the pavilion near the start and finish area. The posted registration fee is $30. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
