The Iron Pickle 5K
The Iron Pickle 5K is part of Canton Pickle Fest and takes place at Stark County Fairgrounds in Canton, Ohio on June 30, 2026. The event offers an in-person 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K option that can be completed between May 30 and June 30, 2026.

The in-person event includes an optional Iron Pickle add-on in which participants carry either a jar of pickles or an inflatable pickle across the finish to earn an Iron Pickle reward. Virtual participants may complete the distance remotely and submit their time; virtual entries do not include add-ons and are not counted in overall or age-group awards.
Registration opens April 1, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $25 for the in-person 5K and $35 for the virtual 5K. Race packets for virtual participants can be picked up during packet pickup or mailed for an additional $5; mailed packets are scheduled to be sent by June 5.
T-shirt sizes range from Youth Small to Large and Adult Small to 2X-Large, with a $5 discount for a no-shirt option and limited availability after May 11. All participants receive a pickle medal. Awards recognize top overall finishers and multiple age-group brackets from youth through 80 plus, and Best Dressed honors are given for creative costumes. The event coincides with festival activities including pickle-themed food trucks, drinks from Happy Camper Bar, a prize scavenger hunt, and local vendors.
