The event includes an in-person half marathon of 13.1 miles and a virtual half marathon option. The race uses portions of the Palouse to Cascade Trail and the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, both rail-trail corridors.
Course and logistics
The course starts at Olallie State Park and finishes at Meadowbrook Farm (1711 Boalch Ave NW, North Bend). The route is almost entirely downhill with approximately 880 feet of elevation loss, beginning near 1300 feet and finishing near 400 feet. The surface is unpaved hard-packed dirt and gravel; regular road running shoes are suitable.
There are five aid stations on course supplying electrolytes and gels; aid stations are spaced about 2 to 3 miles apart. The event is cupless - participants are encouraged to carry a handheld bottle, hydration pack, or a small reusable cup. Chartered shuttles run from the finish to the start on race morning; start line parking is not allowed and finish line parking is at Meadowbrook Farm. Free gear check is available at the start; participants must provide their own bags.
