Beaver Lake Triathlon (Sammamish, WA)
The Beaver Lake Triathlon is a sprint triathlon held at Beaver Lake in Sammamish, Washington. The event features an open-water swim, a road-bike loop that climbs Duthie Hill, and a run around the lake and nearby neighborhoods. Lifeguards are on the swim course.
The course is described as a lollipop route that passes rural farm homes and offers views toward the Cascade mountains. After the swim participants transition to the bike, complete the loop on King County and City of Sammamish roads, then return to a final run that circles Beaver Lake and passes through the Beaver Lake Estates and forested areas.
Distances offered include:
- 1/4-mile swim
- About 13.4–13.7 miles of road biking
- 4.3-mile run
Entry options include individual and relay categories with different fees; listed prices range from USD 45 to USD 95. All registrants must hold a USAT membership; one-day memberships are available. Race registration includes a race T-shirt for registrants, and some entries include a finisher medal and access to the pre-race pasta feed and packet pickup at Redmond Town Center on August 29.
