Rattlesnake Lake Triathlon: North Bend, WA
The event is a sprint triathlon held over Labor Day weekend 2026 at Rattlesnake Lake in North Bend, Washington, located at 17905 Cedar Falls Rd SE. The swim takes place in Rattlesnake Lake, which is fed by snowmelt from the Cascade Mountains through the Cedar watershed. The bike course uses a mix of road and trail, including limestone and hard packed dirt, and regular road bikes are allowed. The run follows park paths and hard packed surfaces in Rattlesnake and Cascades Park.
Distances for the full triathlon are:
- 1/4 mile swim in Rattlesnake Lake fed by Cascades snowmelt
- 10 mile bike on mixed road and trail with limestone and hard packed dirt
- 4 mile run three miles asphalt bike path plus one mile hard packed limestone dirt
Relay entries are offered for two person teams and three person teams; team members choose which segment to complete. Relay teams must hold USATF membership and relay participants receive a race T shirt and finisher medal. The full individual entry price is listed at $85; relay team prices are listed at $50 for two person teams and $45 for three person teams. There is free parking at the Rattlesnake Lake SPU lot; parking at the Washington State Trail lot requires a Discover Pass ($15 per day or $45 per year). The event has a participant cap.
