About the race
Newcastle Beach Triathlon is a sprint triathlon held on Labor Day weekend 2026 at Newcastle Beach Park in Bellevue, Washington. The event includes a swim in Lake Washington, a mixed-surface bike section on the Eastrail, and a run on an asphalt trail path near the lake and VMAC Seahawks training facility.
The course details listed by the organizer are:
- 1/4 mile swim in Lake Washington
- About 8 mile bike consisting of 5 miles of paved road and 3 miles on hard-packed limestone/dirt where a regular road bike is allowed
- 5 mile run on an asphalt trail/path
The event location is Newcastle Beach Park, 4400 Lake Washington Blvd SE, Bellevue, WA 98006. There is free parking at the park and a staging area at Shelter #3. Packet pickup is optional on Saturday, Sept 5, 2026 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at the race site. A mandatory safety briefing is scheduled for Thursday, Sept 3, 2026 at 7:00 pm and will be recorded for later viewing. The organizer states the event has a participant cap.
All athletes must hold USA Triathlon membership; one-day USAT membership options are offered for full and relay entries.
