Newcastle Beach Triathlon

Newcastle Beach Triathlon is a sprint triathlon held on Labor Day weekend 2026 at Newcastle Beach Park in Bellevue, Washington. The course uses Lake Washington for the swim and local trails and paths for the bike and run segments. The event has a participant cap and requires USAT membership for athletes; one-day memberships are available.

Distances include:

• 1/4 mile swim in Lake Washington
• About 8 miles bike combining asphalt and hard-packed limestone/dirt trail; a regular road bike is acceptable
• 5 mile run on an asphalt trail

The course passes near the VMAC Seahawks training facility and offers views of Lake Washington. There is free parking at Newcastle Beach Park and the staging area is at Shelter #3. Optional packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, Sept 5, 2026, 4:00 to 5:30 pm at the race site. A mandatory safety briefing is set for Thursday, Sept 3, 2026, at 7:00 pm and will be recorded for later viewing.
