Indigenous Women and Girls Run
The Manitoba Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Council (MASRC) will present the 6th Indigenous Women and Girls Run on September 19, 2026, at St. Vital Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The event is organized in partnership with Immigration Partnership Winnipeg's Anti-Racism in Sport Campaign and Athletics Manitoba. It is open to everyone of all abilities, including participants and volunteers.
Three run categories are offered:
- 5K walk, run, and roll
- 2K walk, run, and roll
- 5K relay
Registration is open and closes on September 12, 2026. Published registration fees are: family registration (up to five members) $50.00, individual $25.00, and kids under 18 $5.00 with children under 10 running free. Sponsorship funds from past runs have been directed entirely to sports and recreation programming for Indigenous women and girls. Volunteers are a central part of the event and support on-site operations and participant needs.
