Run for Winnipeg takes place at St. Vital Park on River Road in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The event is a 2 km run and walk designed to include members of the city, local businesses and organizations in a community fundraising event.

The event is organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elder Association, also known as Majlis Ansarullah, an auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. This is the fifth Run for Winnipeg. Funds raised this year will support the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba and the Manitoba Association of Women's Shelters. Proceeds are intended to support patient care, research and education.

The event program includes opening ceremonies and a warm up, the 2 km run and walk portion, and a prize distribution. Team participation and fundraising leaderboards are part of the event structure.
