17th Annual Independence Day 5K Run/Walk
The event takes place on July 4, 2026 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the Grand Park Lake Courtyard on Farrow Parkway, corner of Nevers Street and Farrow Parkway. The program includes a 5K, a 1 Mile fun run, and the Stars and Stripes Kids' Dash, a 50 yard sprint.

The 5K course is USATF certified, course number SC21001BW. There is no water stop on the course. Animals are not permitted on the race course. Baby joggers, strollers, skateboards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles and other wheeled devices are not allowed and may result in disqualification. Runners and walkers are welcome.
Registration is available online only. The Kids' Dash is free but requires online registration. Packet pickup is scheduled on Thursday, July 2 at Native Sons at 1519 Executive Ave., on Friday, July 3, and on race day at the Grand Park Lake courtyard.
Participant items and awards vary by event. 5K and 1 Mile registrants may receive a participant shirt while supplies last and a participant medal. All events receive a race bib. The Kids' Dash offers a finisher gift and an option to purchase a participant shirt. Overall and age group awards are listed for the 5K only, with an overall shoe award for top finishers.
