Event Overview
The 8th Annual North Myrtle Beach Turkey Trot is a holiday running event held on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The main event is a 5K race. It takes place at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Events
The event offers two distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Gobbler Kids' Dash (50 yards)
Event Details
The 5K race starts at 8:00 AM. The Gobbler Kids' Dash starts at 9:00 AM. Both runners and walkers are welcome. The course consists of two loops.
There is no water stop on the 5K course. Participants are encouraged to dress in costume.
Rules and Access
Pets and most wheeled devices, such as strollers, skateboards, and bicycles, are not allowed on the course and can result in disqualification. Service animals and mobility aids recognized by the ADA are permitted, but participants using them must inform staff at bib pickup and start at the back.
Registration and Logistics
Registration is only available online and closes on race day at 6:00 AM. The Gobbler Kids' Dash is free but requires online registration.
Packet pickup is available on Wednesday before the race from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at a location to be announced (TBA), and on race morning near the start from 6:45 AM to 7:45 AM. T-shirts are distributed at packet pickup; those who pick up their bib on race morning will receive their shirt only after finishing their event.
Participant Items and Awards
5K participants receive a t-shirt (while supplies last) and a finisher medal. All participants receive a race bib, and Gobbler Dash finishers get a gift.
Awards are given for the 5K in overall, masters, and multiple age group categories. There are no awards for the Gobbler Kids' Dash.
Venue Information
Parking is available at the Crooked Hammock parking lot and other surrounding lots at Barefoot Landing. Restrooms are located across from Taco Mundo and beside the sand courts and playground at Lulu's. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
