8th Annual North Myrtle Beach Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk
The event at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, SC, includes a 5K run/walk and a separate Gobbler Kids' Dash. Race services and items for registered participants include a participant shirt while supplies last, a 5K participant medal, and race bibs for both events. The kids dash is untimed, offers a finisher gift, and does not present awards.
Course rules are stated clearly. Animals are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification; service animals recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act are permitted provided staff are informed at bib pickup and the handler starts at the back of the field. Baby joggers, strollers, skate boards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles and other wheeled devices are not permitted and will result in disqualification. Wheelchairs and recognized mobility aids under the Americans with Disabilities Act are permitted with prior notification at bib pickup and are asked to start at the back for safety. There are no water stops on the course.
Registration is available online only; the kids dash is free but requires online registration. Packet pickup details are provided in advance, including an evening session the day before and a morning pickup near the race start. Parking is available at the Crooked Hammock lot and surrounding Barefoot Landing lots. Restrooms are located near Taco Mundo and beside the sand courts and playground at Lulu's. The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach is listed as a nonprofit partner.
