Plantation Lakes Turkey Trot
The Plantation Lakes Turkey Trot is a community running event held on Thanksgiving Day in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The race takes place within the Plantation Lakes neighborhood, with the start and finish lines located near the community Amenity Center. Participants move through a course that utilizes local roads including Juxa Drive and Wacobee Drive.
The event offers multiple distances for participants of different ages:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Gobble Wobble (Adults)
- 1 Mile Gobble Wobble (Children 12 and under)
Registration includes a commemorative shirt and a medal for those who complete the course. Participants can collect their race packets at the Amenity Center on the day before the event or on Thanksgiving morning before the activities begin.
Parking is primarily available at the Amenity Center. Supplemental overflow parking is designated for the left side of Shoreward Drive. Guidance for the event specifies that vehicles must not block resident driveways or park on the shoulders of the active race route.
