Howletts Cheetah 5K
The Howletts Cheetah 5K is a multi-terrain running event held within the grounds of Howletts Wild Animal Park in Kent. Participants follow an undulating course that spans 90 acres of ancient parkland. The route offers a unique environment for a race, as the path passes the habitats of over 45 species of rare and endangered animals, including elephants, gorillas, tigers, and lions.
The event is organized to support the conservation work of The Aspinall Foundation. This specific edition celebrates the rewilding of Edie, a South African cheetah. Participants can choose a standard entry or a Cheetah Champions entry, which includes an additional donation to support veterinary care and the translocation of cheetahs to other reserves.
The race takes place before the park opens to the general public, providing runners with exclusive early access to the grounds. All registered participants receive a bespoke medal and full entry to the park for the remainder of the day.
