Howletts Cheetah 5K : Howletts Wild Animal Park

The event is a 5 km multi terrain run set inside Howletts Wild Animal Park in Bekesbourne, Canterbury. It takes place on undulating paths across about 90 acres of ancient parkland and passes enclosures for more than 45 species of rare and endangered animals, including elephants, gorillas, tigers and lions. Route maps and GPX files are available.

The race supports The Aspinall Foundation and this edition highlights the rewilding of Edie, a South African cheetah. A Cheetah Champions entry includes an additional £12.50 donation directed to veterinary care and activities such as sedation for translocation of cheetahs between reserves. Standard on-the-day entry is listed as £25, subject to availability.

Entrants receive full park entry after the event, a bespoke medal, pre-public entry to the park on race day and access to free parking. The event is open to runners aged 11 and over. The organiser is The Aspinall Foundation and event information will be sent to registered entrants before race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
