Howletts Cheetah 5k

Howletts Cheetah 5k is a five kilometre race held on 20 September 2026 at Howletts Wild Animal Park in Bekesbourne, Canterbury (CT4 5EL). The course is described as multi terrain and undulating and runs through about 90 acres of ancient parkland.

The route passes by more than 45 species of rare and endangered animals, including elephants, gorillas, tigers and lions. The event begins before the park opens to the public, and race registration includes full park entry for runners after the event. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available.

Entries are offered from £25 and there is a Cheetah Champions option that includes an additional £12.50 donation to support veterinary care and cheetah translocations managed by The Aspinall Foundation. An on the day entry fee is listed as £30 for the 5k, subject to availability.

Included for participants are a bespoke medal, full park entry, pre public access to the park, free parking and a 25% discount for friends and family admissions. The event supports The Aspinall Foundation and this edition highlights conservation work including the rewilding of a South African cheetah named Edie.
