Howletts Cheetah 5k
Howletts Cheetah 5k is a charity running event organised in support of the Aspinall Foundation. The event takes place at Howletts Wild Animal Park, Bekesbourne Ln, Bekesbourne, Canterbury CT4 5EL on 20 September 2026 and features a 5k course described as multi terrain and undulating.
The route runs through approximately 90 acres of ancient parkland and passes more than 45 species of rare and endangered animals, including elephants, gorillas, tigers and lions. The event starts before the park opens to the public, giving runners exclusive early access and the opportunity to remain in the park after the race with full park entry included for participants.
Entries include a bespoke medal, free parking, and a 25% discount for friends and family admissions. A Cheetah Champions entry option adds a £12.50 donation to support essential veterinary care, including sedation for translocation of cheetahs to other reserves. Advance entry prices are listed from £25 with a higher priced Cheetah Champions option; on the day entry for the 5k is shown as £30 subject to availability. Route maps and GPX files are available from the organiser. Event information is sent to registered entrants prior to race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
