Howletts Cheetah 5k

Howletts Cheetah 5k is a 5k event at Howletts Wild Animal Park in Bekesbourne, Canterbury on 20 September 2026. The race supports the Aspinall Foundation and this edition highlights the rewilding of Edie, a South African cheetah. Race entries include full park entry for runners after the event.

The course is described as multi terrain and undulating and runs through about 90 acres of ancient parkland. Runners pass enclosures for more than 45 species of rare and endangered animals, including elephants, gorillas, tigers and lions. The event starts before the park opens to the public, providing participants with access to areas not open during normal visiting hours.

Entry options and costs are published by the organiser. Advance entries are listed from £25 and a Cheetah Champions entry is shown at £37.50; the Cheetah Champions option includes an additional £12.50 donation that supports veterinary care and translocation work for cheetahs and is paid directly to the Aspinall Foundation. An on the day entry fee of £30 may apply subject to availability.

Included for registered runners are a bespoke medal, pre-public park access, full park entry after the race, free parking and a 25% discount for friends and family admissions.
