Harbour Wallbanger
Harbour Wallbanger is a coastal 7k event based at The Pavilion in Broadstairs. The route starts on the beach at low tide, runs along the coast to Ramsgate where participants touch the harbour wall, and then returns to Broadstairs. The event is organised in partnership with Thanet Roadrunners AC.
Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, first male and female in VET40, VET50 and VET60 categories, plus first place male and female team prizes. Teams must have three members and may be affiliated clubs or informal groups.
Entry fees for the 7k are listed as follows: advanced entries at £24 for affiliated club members and £26 for unaffiliated entrants; on the day entry may be available at £30 subject to space. Advanced entries are available until 1pm on the Wednesday before the event. On the day entries may be available until 11:30am on the day, subject to space. Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age for entry is 15 years on the day.
Venue facilities include toilets, no changing facilities, a pay car park and full refreshments on site. Results are published live on the event website as runners cross the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
