The Wingham Run
The Wingham Run is an annual road running event held at Wingham Recreation Ground in Wingham, CT3 1AR, in east Kent. The event has run for many years and reached its 39th edition. Organised by Sporting Events UK, it features clay piggy medals made by Canterbury Pottery.

Entry fees differ by distance and affiliation. Advanced 10 km entries are listed at £24 for affiliated club members and £26 for unaffiliated runners, with an on the day fee of £30 subject to space. Advanced 5 km entries are listed at £16 for affiliated club members and £18 for unaffiliated runners, with an on the day fee of £25 subject to space. Under UK Athletics rules the minimum ages are 15 years for the 10 km and 13 years for the 5 km on the day.
The route starts at the recreation ground and follows quiet country roads through east Kent countryside and several villages. The course is officially measured and described as undulating; some past performances have produced quick times. The event includes an Event Village adjacent to the start and finish. Facilities at the venue include toilets, a car park and refreshments. The race has sold out in recent years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
