Event Overview
The Folkestone Rotary Half Marathon is a road running event organised by the Folkestone Rotary Club. The race follows an accurately-measured route that begins outside The Grand on The Leas in Folkestone, Kent. Participants run through the local coastal park before completing an out-and-back section toward Hythe.
The course is primarily situated on the coastal promenade and is described as relatively flat, though it includes a few hills, including a notable ascent in the final mile. This event is held on road surfaces and is used by many participants as part of Autumn marathon training plans.

Logistics and Participation
Race headquarters are located within The Grand hotel on The Leas. Dedicated parking is recommended at the Leas Cliff Hall car park, situated approximately half a mile from the start and finish area. While Folkestone West is the nearest railway station, train services are limited on Sundays.
Registered entrants receive a bespoke medal and finish line goodies. Trophies and cash prizes are awarded to leading runners. The event serves as a fundraiser where proceeds are donated to local charities. Applicants also have the option to select a charity entry, which includes a specific donation to the Folkestone Rotary Club to support community projects related to health, education, and poverty.
