Folkestone Rotary Half Marathon
The Folkestone Rotary Half Marathon is a fundraising road race held in Folkestone, Kent on 27 September 2026. The event is organised by the Folkestone Rotary Club and supports local charities, with a charity entry option that includes a £5 donation to the Rotary Club and fundraising for the Gurkha Memorial Fund and other local projects.
The accurately measured course starts outside The Grand on The Leas, passes through the coastal park and follows an out-and-back route to Hythe. Much of the route runs along the promenade and offers coastal views. The course is mostly flat but includes a couple of hills, including a notable climb in the closing stages. The event features community support and on-course marshals.
What is included for entrants are a bespoke medal, trophies and cash prizes for leading runners, and finish-line goodies. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available. Practical information lists Race HQ outside The Grand and recommends parking at Leas Cliff Hall car park about half a mile from the headquarters; Folkestone West is the nearest railway station but trains are limited on Sundays.
