Run Whitstable & Herne Bay September
This event takes place along the Whitstable coastline with the event hub at Hampton Pier Recreation Ground, to the left of the children’s play area. Parking near the hub is limited; a public car park on Swalecliffe Avenue holds about 100 cars. Herne Bay railway station is the closest station, about a 10 to 15 minute walk.

The course follows paved paths along the waterfront and is described as flat. Road running shoes are recommended. The 5k turns back at the 2.5 km point and the 10k turns back at the 5 km point. The half marathon begins with a 1.1 km out and back toward Hampton and then completes the 10k section twice. The route is suitable for buggies and is wheelchair friendly. The course may be altered up to event day if necessary.
Race operations include chip on bib timing with live results available at the event and online, marshals on course, and water stations at the start and finish and along the route. Runners collect their race pack at on day registration and must display the chip on bib on an outer garment. Finish line items include a medal for every runner, sweets, and trophies for overall winners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
