The Eastern Dutchess Road Runners Club presents the Junkyard Dogs Hilltopper Half on Sunday, July 26, 2026, in Millbrook, New York. The event is a half marathon of 13.1 miles with an advertised elevation gain of 787 feet and a five-hour time limit. Net proceeds and donations will support the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research.
Course and logistics
The course follows country roads through the town of Washington, with views of lakes, ponds, and farmland. Roads will remain open during the event. Self-service water stations are provided every few miles. The organizer notes the course includes many hills and states it is not suitable for novice runners. The field is limited to 50 participants and there is no race day sign-up. Fees are listed as $30 for non-members and $25 for members. Parking is available at Trevor Zoo on the Millbrook School campus. Awards are given to overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for male, female, and non-binary categories.
