Event Overview

The JYD 29th Annual Hilltopper Half is a long-distance running event organized by the Eastern Dutchess Road Runners Club. This event takes place in Millbrook, New York, with the primary activity centered around the Millbrook School and its surrounding areas. The proceeds and donations from the event are directed toward the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research.

Course Details

The run covers a distance of 13.1 miles through the town of Washington. Participants navigate a route consisting of country roads that pass by lakes, ponds, and farmland. The course is characterized by various inclines, totaling an elevation gain of 787 feet. Because the roads remain open to vehicle traffic during the event, participants must share the path with cars. Self-service water stations are positioned every few miles along the route to provide hydration.

Event Logistics and Participation

The event is held in a rain-or-shine format and maintains a 5-hour time limit for completion. Registration is capped at 50 participants, and there is no option for sign-up on the day of the event. Parking for the run is available at the Trevor Zoo, located at the Millbrook School.
