EDRRC - The JYD 29th Annual Hilltopper Half
The EDRRC Junkyard Dogs Hilltopper Half takes place on July 26, 2026, in Millbrook, New York. The event starts and finishes at Millbrook School, 296 Millbrook School Rd, with parking available at Trevor Zoo, 282 Millbrook School Rd.
The course is 13.1 miles on country roads around the town of Washington. Runners pass lakes, ponds, and farmland. The route includes many hills and has an elevation gain of 787 feet; because of the terrain it is not suitable for novice runners. Roads will remain open during the event and self-service water stations will be available every few miles. There is a 5-hour time limit for completing the course. Packet pickup is provided.
Registration fees are listed as $30 for non-members and $25 for members. The field is capped at 50 participants and there is no race day sign-up. Discounted entry is available for club members through the Eastern Dutchess Road Runners Club. Net proceeds and donations will support the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research.
Awards are given to the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd finishers in male, female, and non-binary categories. A finisher medal is guaranteed to participants who register before a date that will be announced. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
