Hillbilly Hike Half Marathon, 10k, & Greubel Memorial 5k
This event comprises several races on the paved Summerset Trail in the Indianola and Carlisle, Iowa area. It is a fundraiser for the Thrive Church Mission Team; proceeds from the Greubel Memorial 5k support college savings plans for three local children. A virtual race option is also offered.

The half marathon and the 10k are point-to-point courses; the 5k is an out-and-back. The half marathon has a net elevation drop of 200 foot and is USATF certified (Course IA24016MF). Courses travel past scenic bridges, lakes, woodlands, wetlands, prairie and farmland, and include a loop through Summerset State Park. Water stations and volunteers are placed along the half marathon course approximately every two miles.
Event services include chip timing, bus transportation to the half and 10k start areas, bag drop and baggage claim at the finish, on-course restrooms and portable toilets, and packet pickup before race day. All finishers receive custom die cast medals and ring-spun shirts; trophies and age-division awards are given to top finishers.
