14th Annual 5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth : Miami, Florida
The Human Growth Foundation, in collaboration with Nicklaus Children's Hospital, presents a community 5K run and walk at Tropical Park in Miami, FL. Event materials note conventional timing, a fully paved and accessible course, and a published route length listed as 3 miles while most participant categories are labeled 5K. Parking at Tropical Park is free and the event is located in the south endzone of the stadium.
Multiple entry categories accommodate adults, youth, patients and staff, volunteer teams, and members of local running clubs. Registration fees vary by category; some categories have no fee. Volunteer high school and college teams receive 20 community service hours. Several entry categories include a race bib, event t-shirt, and finisher medal; food and refreshments are provided for some categories and at the event expo.
Awards will be given to the fastest male and female in age groups: 10 & under, 11–17, 18–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–55, and 56 & over. Event materials include a heat advisory for South Florida and a cancellation policy noting the event may be postponed or canceled for weather, natural disasters, or emergencies with no refunds. Professional photographers and videographers will be on site and images may be used for promotional, educational, and fundraising purposes; attendees may notify event staff if they prefer not to be photographed.
