Event Overview
The HGF Run & Walk for Kids' Growth 5K is the 14th edition of this annual event, held in Miami. It is organized by the Human Growth Foundation (HGF) in collaboration with Nicklaus Children's Hospital. The purpose is to increase awareness of childhood growth disorders and raise funds for care and treatment for underserved children.
Event Details
The event takes place at Tropical Park (7900 SW 40th Street, Miami, FL 33155). It features a timed 5K (3.1-mile) course that is paved and described as wheelchair and stroller accessible. The event is held rain or shine.
Participants can register for several categories:
- Adult 5K Run/Walk (Age 18+)
- Youth 5K Run/Walk (Age 18 & Under)
- Youth 5K Run/Walk (Age 10 & Under)
- 5K Run/Walk - Nicklaus Children's Hospital (Patients, Caregivers, and Staff)
- 5K Run/Walk - VOLUNTEER High School/College Group
- 5K Run/Walk - MEMBERS OF MIAMI RUNNING CLUBS
Participant Information
Each registered participant receives a finisher medal, an event t-shirt, food, and refreshments. Water, hydration drinks, and light snacks are provided. Awards are given to the fastest male and female in multiple age categories. There will be live entertainment, raffle prizes, display booths, and giveaways. Leashed dogs that do well in crowds are permitted.
Parking at Tropical Park is free. Professional photographers and videographers will be present, and by registering, participants consent to their image being used for HGF's promotional purposes.
