Wings for Life World Run Miami

The Wings for Life World Run is a global event where participants compete simultaneously across various locations, including Miami. This App Run event takes place at the Museum Park Water Front. The race features a unique format without a fixed finish line; instead, participants run to stay ahead of a Virtual Catcher Car managed via a mobile application.

The competition is open to both runners and wheelchair participants. The Virtual Catcher Car starts 30 minutes after the initial race commencement at a speed of 14 km/h. It gradually increases its pace until all athletes have been caught. Because the finish line is mobile, distances vary for each individual participant depending on how long they stay ahead of the car. The event provides a refreshment station and local setup for participants, and timing is handled through the mobile app.

This event supports a charitable cause, with 100% of entry fees and donations directed toward spinal cord research projects.
