HERS 27th Annual Breast Cancer Walk/Run Fundraiser and Community Expo
The HERS Breast Cancer Foundation will hold its 27th annual walk/run and community expo on September 26, 2026 at Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area in Fremont, California. The event raises funds to provide breast cancer patients with post-surgical products and services, with a current fundraising total of $54.10 toward a $30,000 goal. Sponsors listed include Fremont Bank and Washington Health.
Participants can choose among the following event options:
- Timed 10K run
- Timed 5K run
- 5K walk
- Youth races for 17 and under
- Virtual run or walk with bib, medal, and t-shirt
Onsite features include opening ceremonies with Elaine’s Circle and a symbolic dove release, warmup activities, a superhero costume contest with prizes, a community expo with giveaways, music and entertainment, photo opportunities, and family-friendly activities.
Registrant benefits include a commemorative event t-shirt, a finisher’s medal, and a light breakfast. Registration is available online only, no refunds will be given once registered, and t-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after September 12, 2026. Attendees are encouraged to carpool when possible; parking inside the park lot is $5 and the park accepts credit card and tap to pay.
