HERS Breast Cancer Walk
This is an annual fundraising event organized by the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation. The foundation supports breast cancer survivors in the San Francisco Bay Area by providing post-surgical products and educational services.
The 27th edition of this event is scheduled for a Saturday in late September 2026. It will be held at Quarry Lakes Regional Park in Fremont. The event is described as a Western-themed fundraiser.
Participants can choose from several activities:
- A 5k walk, available either in-person or virtually.
- A timed run, with options for 5k or 10k.
- An outdoor yoga session suitable for all levels.
Participants who walk or run receive a commemorative t-shirt, a finisher's medal, and a bib. The event includes a community expo with booths from healthcare organizations, local businesses, and service groups. Other event elements listed are food and beverage service, entertainment, giveaways, and a Bollywood dance warmup. A race coordination company manages the running portion of the event.
There is an opportunity for teams of at least five walkers or runners to participate in a themed costume contest, with trophies awarded for creativity and spirit.
