HERS Breast Cancer Walk/Run 2026
The HERS Breast Cancer Walk/Run is an annual fundraising event for the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation that supports San Francisco Bay Area breast cancer survivors by providing post-surgical products and educational services. The 2026 event is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at Quarry Lakes in Fremont.
Event options include both walking and timed running distances:
- 5K Walk (in person or virtual)
- 5K Timed Run
- 10K Timed Run
Registered participants receive event items including a commemorative t-shirt, a finisher’s medal and race bib, and a light breakfast. The day features a Community Expo with healthcare and wellness partners, local businesses, nonprofits, entertainment, giveaways, and themed photo opportunities. A Bollywood dance warm-up is listed among the day’s activities.
The program includes patient-focused elements such as a memorial circle and a bell-ringing activity at a Patients & Survivors Booth to honor those affected by breast cancer. Team participation is part of the program; teams of five or more are judged on creativity, enthusiasm, and team spirit and may compete for trophies.
