The races are chip-timed on a flat course that uses both pavement and packed dirt. The route goes around lakes and gardens and uses parts of the Iron Horse Trail near Lake Annabel.

Each finisher receives a wood-cut medal made from recycled wood. Prizes are awarded at random.
