Event overview
The Zoom Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Hellyer County Park (Buena Vista Pavilion) in San Jose, CA. The event includes multiple distances and a Kid's Run for children 6 years and younger. The Half Marathon course is USATF certified (CA21023TEB). Park entrance is included with the event.

Course and facilities
The course is described as relatively flat and will be marked with directional signage. Surface breakdown: 5K and 10K are 100% asphalt; the Half Marathon is about 98% asphalt and 2% single-track. Parking at the park is $6 per vehicle. There is no bag check; non-valuables may be left at the Start/Finish.
Aid, equipment and rules
Fully stocked aid stations are placed every 2 to 4 miles with fruit, snacks, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink. Runners are advised to carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own fluid container. A Hydrapak SpeedCup will be available for sale at check-in for $5. Headphones are allowed only on dirt road sections and are prohibited on single-track trail, when crossing paved roads, at aid stations, and at the finish. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
Timing and awards
Timing uses MyLaps BibTags and Gun Time. Results are published online regularly. T-shirts are given to pre-registered runners and all finishers receive a custom medal. Overall top three male and female finishers in each distance receive awards and race credits ($50, $35, $20). Top three finishers in each age group and gender receive medals. Time limits are set at 3.5 hours for the Half Marathon and 3.5 hours for all events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
