Hero Dash 5k - Venice, FL
Hero Dash 5k takes place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Legacy Park, 395 E. Venice Ave., Venice, FL 34285, near the historic train depot. The 5K course follows the Legacy Trail along Venice’s Intracoastal Waterfront. The event includes two 5K categories: ages 13 and older, and ages 12 and younger.
The event is hosted by Respect 1st Responders (R1R), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports first responders, military, and front-line workers. Funds raised will be used to stock Disaster Relief Kits for natural disasters and emergencies. Post-event activities listed for the day include music, awards, raffles, emergency service vehicles, antique fire engines, vendors, food trucks, and a family fun zone.
Race services include professional chip timing provided by Florida Race Day LLC and downloadable finish line pictures. Awards for the 5K are based on time. Each participant will receive a custom race bib, a short-sleeve race shirt, and a downloadable finisher photo. The field is limited to 200 runners. Event materials include instructions for day-of parking and list approved parking zones; no event parking is allowed at the marina/boat ramp permit-only lot and violations may be ticketed and towed.
