The Legacy Trail Ultra
The Legacy Trail Ultra is the 5th annual free ultramarathon organized by the Manasota Track Club in Sarasota, FL. The event covers 60K on the Legacy Trail in an out and back format that starts at Payne Park, runs south 18.6 miles before a turn-around, and returns to the start.
There are no road closings for the event and aid stations are limited. Participants are given 10 hours to complete the distance. Pre-order shirts are available; the shirt order window closes at the end of day on November 1. Packet pickup is scheduled for November 21 from 3 to 5 pm at Fleet Feet Sarasota, 711 S Osprey Ave #1, Sarasota, FL 34236. Registration closes on November 19 at 11:59 PM ET.
County trail rules apply. Participants should observe courtesy, consideration and control on the trail, warn before passing, avoid blocking the trail across its width, stay to the right to allow oncoming trail users to pass, and stop and use crossing signals at road intersections.
