The Legacy Trail Ultra
The Legacy Trail Ultra is a free 60K ultramarathon held on the Legacy Trail in Sarasota, FL. The event is organized as an out and back course that begins at Payne Park, runs south 18.6 miles before turning around, and returns to the start. This is the fourth annual running of the event. Participants are allowed 10 hours to complete the 60K distance. There will be no road closings for the event and aid stations will be limited.
Packet pickup is on November 22 at Fleet Feet Sarasota, 711 S Osprey Ave #1, Sarasota, FL 34236. Registration opens August 16, 2026. Shirt preorders become available October 3; a limited number of shirts will be available for purchase at packet pickup, with proceeds benefiting the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
The race is sponsored by the Manasota Track Club with support from organizations including Fleet Feet/New Balance, Real Bikes Venice, and Durtiming. This will be the last year the relay option is offered; relay spots are limited. Organizers will issue bibs for relay teams but relay entries will not receive finisher awards for first place.
