Event overview
The Heels Up 5K 2026 takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in the Provenance neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana. The event is the 10th annual Heels Up race and includes these events:
- 5K - 3.1 miles, run or walk
- Kids Fun Run - for ages 10 and under
- Sleep In Supporter
The 5K course starts and finishes in the Provenance neighborhood. All runners are invited to donate shoes on race day; those who donate after finishing receive a Heels Up water bottle and a chance to win a year subscription to Rise Up and Roast coffee.
Charity, registration and logistics
One hundred percent of proceeds support The Hub Urban Ministries program Purchased: Not for Sale, which provides rescue, relationships, resources, and recovery services for women and children affected by sex trafficking. 5K registration fees progress by date, with listed tiers through race day and a race day registration fee. The Kids Fun Run fee is listed for ages 10 and under. Packet pickup is scheduled on the two days before the race at Run Wild and on race day at the site. Short sleeve race shirts are offered; the deadline to be guaranteed a shirt is March 1. Overall prize amounts and age-group trophies are offered for male and female finishers.
