Heels Up 5K - Shreveport, LA
Heels Up 5K is the 11th annual community race held on March 20, 2027, in the Provenance neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana. The event includes a main 5K and a Kids Fun Run and directs 100% of proceeds to The Hub Urban Ministries program Purchased: Not for Sale, which serves women and children affected by sex trafficking or exiting the sex industry.
The program Purchased provides four areas of support: rescue through outreach and law enforcement partnerships, relationship-building to aid long-term healing, resources such as food, clothing, education and counseling, and recovery programs that address substance abuse and trauma.

- Kids Fun Run - 0.5 miles
The 5K has a tiered registration fee schedule through the months before the race, with a higher fee on race day. Kids Fun Run entry is priced for ages 10 and under. Packet pickup occurs the two days before the race and on race day at the event site. Race shirts are short-sleeve; the organizer sets a deadline to guarantee a shirt and will not hold or mail unclaimed shirts after the race start.
Event awards include cash prizes for overall male and female finishers and age-category trophies. Participants may donate shoes on race day; donors receive a water bottle and are entered for a coffee subscription prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
