Heels Up 5K 2026 - Shreveport
Heels Up 5K 2026 takes place on Saturday March 21, 2026 in the Provenance neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana. The event includes a community 5K and activities for children, and proceeds support a local urban ministries program.

One hundred percent of race proceeds benefit The Hub Urban Ministries program Purchased: Not for Sale. Purchased provides four program areas: Rescue, Relationships, Resources, and Recovery. Examples of offered resources include food, clothing, education, medical care, counseling, and access to safe housing. Recovery programs address substance abuse and trauma and aim to provide tools and relationships for long-term restoration.
Participants are invited to donate shoes on race day. Shoe donors who give shoes after crossing the finish line receive a Heels Up water bottle and a chance to win a year subscription to Rise Up and Roast coffee.
5K registration follows staged pricing through March 20 and a higher race day fee. Packet pickup is scheduled on days preceding the event and at the race site. The event offers short sleeve race shirts with a March 1 deadline to be guaranteed a shirt; unclaimed shirts will be given to volunteers.
The event awards cash prizes for overall first and second places and trophies across multiple age categories including youth and senior divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
