Event Overview

The Heels Up 5K 2026 is the tenth annual event. It takes place on March 21, 2026, in the Provenance neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana. The address is 1024 Provenance Blvd.

Events

The event includes three categories:

5K (3.1 miles) that participants can run or walk.
Kids Fun Run for children aged 10 and under.
Sleep In Supporter category.

The 5K course starts and finishes within the Provenance Neighborhood.

Beneficiary

All proceeds from the race support The Hub Urban Ministries program Purchased: Not for Sale. This program serves women and children who are victims of sex trafficking or are leaving the sex industry, focusing on rescue, relationships, resources, and recovery. The race honors survivors and supports the cause.

Participant Details

Packet pickup is scheduled for two days before the race at a location called Run Wild, as well as on race day. Participants in the 5K receive a short-sleeve t-shirt, with a deadline to guarantee a shirt. All kids in the Fun Run receive a Heels Up water bottle at packet pickup.

On race day, participants are invited to donate their shoes. Those who donate their shoes after finishing receive a Heels Up water bottle and an entry to win a year's subscription to Rise Up and Roast coffee.

Awards

Awards are given for the 5K. Cash prizes are $250 for first place overall male and female winners, and $100 for second place overall. Trophies are awarded for various age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
