AHG's Gobble Wobble 5K - Bossier City
AHG's Gobble Wobble is a community fundraising event held on November 21, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana at 3131 Arthur Ray Teague Pkwy. The event includes a timed 5K road race and a non-timed fun run of 0.5 miles for children 10 and under.
The event supports American Heritage Girls Troop LA-0401. The troop is described as a faith-based character development and leadership organization for girls ages 5 to 18 that emphasizes faith, service, citizenship, life skills, confidence, and outdoor activity. The 5K serves as the troop's primary annual fundraiser to support local service projects and troop equipment.
Registration opens July 4, 2026, with tiered fees that begin at $20 and increase through the weeks before the race, reaching up to $35 by race day. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations received after November 8 and extras are available on a first come, first served basis after that date.
Race packets may be picked up the day before the race at Barksdale Community Church and also on race morning at the race site. Awards include medals for first and second place male and female finishers in multiple age categories: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over. A special category listed as Runner is also included.
Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and similar hand pushed or pulled devices are permitted only at walking pace. In-line skates and roller skates are prohibited on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
