Heart and Soul 5K
Heart and Soul 5K is a community race held on June 6, 2026 in Howell, Michigan, at Howell High School, 1200 West Grand River, 48843. The event benefits Ainsley’s Angels Michigan and Livingston County Special Olympics.
The course is described as super flat and paved, covering the Howell High School campus with a start and finish on the track and football field. The layout accommodates runners, walkers, strollers and wheeled athletes. Chip timing is provided. Post-race snacks, event swag and raffle prizes will be available. Prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female winners, and all participants are entered into drawings for other prizes.
Ainsley’s Angels pairs runners with riders and provides specialized equipment so athletes who use racing chairs can participate in endurance events. Funds raised support the purchase of specialized racing chairs. Special Olympics Michigan provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and raises funds for facility rental, uniforms and travel to games and tournaments. Neither organization charges athletes to take part and both operate on donations.
