The event takes place on June 6, 2026 at Island Lake State Recreation Area, Kent Lake Beach in Brighton, Michigan. The park covers about 4,000 acres in Livingston County and includes open brush, mature hardwood forest, pockets of open meadows, and paved roads with rolling hills.
Races use the clear waters of Kent Lake for swim legs, tree-lined rolling roads for the bike legs, and a lakeside final run section that approaches the finish area.
The event program includes the following distances and formats:
- Olympic Triathlon: 1500 m swim, 40K bike, 10K run
- Sprint Triathlon: 800 m swim, 12-mile bike, 3.1-mile run
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 400 m swim, 12-mile bike, 1.5-mile run
- Olympic Aquabike: 1500 m swim, 40K bike
- Sprint Duathlon: 1.5-mile run, 12-mile bike, 3.1-mile run

The event is a USA Triathlon sanctioned race. Course routes are subject to change at the discretion of the race director for safety. Timed open-water practice swims are offered and require a swim buoy for identification; the organizer can provide buoys if needed.
A post-race celebration provides food such as pancakes and breakfast burritos prepared by staff and volunteers. The event follows a Leave No Trace zero waste approach with race-day recycling and composting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
