Island Lake Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike : Brighton, Michigan
The event takes place at Island Lake State Recreation Area in Brighton, Michigan, on June 6, 2026. The park covers about 4,000 acres in Livingston County and offers a mix of open brush, mature hardwood forest, and open meadows with paved roads and rolling hills.
Swim legs take place in the clear waters of Kent Lake. Bike courses run along tree-lined roads with rolling hills. Run legs finish with a panoramic lakeside approach to the finish area.
Event formats and distances include:
- Olympic Triathlon - 1500 meter swim, 24 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
- Sprint Triathlon - 750 meter swim, 12 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Super Sprint Triathlon - 400 meter swim, 12 mile bike, 1.5 mile run
- Olympic Aquabike - 1500 meter swim, 24 mile bike
- Sprint Duathlon - 1.5 mile run, 12 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Olympic Relay - team entry for the Olympic distance
- Sprint Relay - team entry for the Sprint distance
Course maps are provided for all legs and distances. After the event there is a participant meal offering pancakes and breakfast burritos.
