The Island Lake Triathlon is held at Island Lake State Recreation Area in Brighton, Michigan, a 4,000-acre park in Livingston County in southeast Michigan. The park contains a mix of open brush, mature hardwood forest, and open meadows, with paved roads that form rolling, tree-lined routes.
