Head for the Cure 5K - Denver
The inaugural Head for the Cure 5K is scheduled for June 14, 2026, at Sloan's Park in Denver, Colorado. This event serves as a community gathering to raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research and support programs. Participants can choose between two organized distances:
- 5 km (run or walk)
- 100 meter dash (Kids Fun Run)
The event focuses on supporting the local brain cancer community. Proceeds benefit brain tumor research in the Denver area, Path to Hope, and various national education initiatives and brain cancer programs. The day includes several ceremonial components beyond the run itself, featuring recognitions such as the Keeping the Faith tribute for brain tumor survivors and the Legacy of Love for caregivers and healthcare professionals. There is also a dedicated brain tumor survivor group photograph as part of the morning activities.
The course is located at 1700 N Sheridan Blvd. While the event functions as a fundraiser with a specific goal for local research, it is open to the general public. Registration is required for those participating in the 5 km or the children's dash. Participants have the option to join as individuals or form teams to assist in the fundraising efforts.
