Runs With Scissors Races takes place at Riverdale Regional Park in Brighton, Colorado on April 25, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual distances and donates a portion of race proceeds to Almost Home, Inc.

The in-person course is a 1.31 mile loop. The Half Marathon covers 10 laps, the Marathon 20 laps, and the 50K 24 laps. Runners are guaranteed an aid station and a restroom at each loop, with two additional restrooms located along the course. Prizes will be awarded to the overall top three male and female finishers in each distance with no duplicate awards.
Finishers receive a race specific wicking beanie and a custom scissors shaped medal with the runner name on the ribbon when registration is completed before March 20, 2026; a custom 16 oz pub style glass is provided to registered participants. Virtual participants may run their distance between April 17 and April 26, 2026 and may receive distance specific swag according to the same registration deadlines. Packet pick up is scheduled the night before at Something Brewery, 117 N. Main St., Brighton, with race day pickup at the Riverdale Regional Park pavilion. New this year participants may opt out of the beanie and or pint glass for a race discount. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
