Event
Runs With Scissors Races take place on April 25, 2026 in Brighton, Colorado, at Riverdale Regional Park (9755 Henderson Road). The event offers the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- 50K Ultra Marathon
- Virtual Half Marathon, Virtual Full Marathon, Virtual 50K
A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the non-profit charity Almost Home Inc.
Logistics and entries
The course is a 1.31-mile loop. The half marathon is 10 laps, the marathon is 20 laps, and the 50K is 24 laps. There is a restroom and an aid station every 1.31 miles, plus two additional restrooms along the course. Prizes are awarded to the overall top three male and female finishers in each distance (no duplicates).
All finishers receive a race-specific wicking beanie and a custom scissors-shaped medal with the runner's name on the ribbon if registered before March 20, 2026. All registered participants receive a custom 16 oz. pub-style glass. Virtual participants may run their distance between April 17 and April 26, 2026; virtual entrants who register before March 20, 2026 are eligible for a named medal and a distance-specific beanie. Packet pick-up is the night before at Something Brewery, 117 N. Main St., Brighton (outdoor patio or back room depending on weather); race day pick-up is at the Riverdale Regional Park pavilion and includes the bib and pint glass but may not include the swag bag. New this year, participants may opt out of the beanie and/or pint glass for a race discount. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
