SOAR 5K
Welchester Elementary School PTA will host the third annual SOAR 5K on April 25, 2026, in Golden, Colorado. The event is based at 13000 W 10th Ave and includes separate run, walk, and kids events organized on the same day.
- SOAR 5K Run - 3.1 miles
- SOAR 5K Walk - 3.1 miles
- SOAR Kids Fun Run - 1K for ages 12 and under
The 5K features a scenic double loop course around Daniels Park and the Welchester Elementary community. Walk participants follow the same two-loop 3.1 mile course. The kids 1K is a non-competitive loop through Welchester Tree Grant Park and is scheduled to take place after the 5K walk.
All proceeds support Welchester PTA programs, including student clubs, enrichment learning, classroom resources, and community events that bring families together. Run and walk entry is listed with an entry fee; the fee amount increases after February 28, 2026. Children’s entries are free but require registration. The last day to guarantee a t-shirt size is April 10; sizes may be limited after that date. Welchester Elementary families receive a per-registrant discount when registering together.
