SOAR 5K - Golden, CO

The SOAR 5K takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Welchester Elementary School, 13000 W 10th Ave, Golden, CO 80401. The event is organized by the Welchester Elementary School PTA and its proceeds support PTA programs such as student clubs, classroom resources, enrichment learning, and family events.

Course, events and entries

5K - Run, 3.1 miles, double loop course around Daniels Park and the Welchester Elementary community.
5K - Walk, same 3.1 mile course with two loops around Daniels Park.
1K - Kids Fun Run, loop through Welchester Tree Grant Park; open to ages 12 and under.

Registration fees for the 5K run/walk are listed as early bird $20 through February 28 and $25 from March 1 through April 25. The Kids Fun Run is free. Welchester families registering multiple family members receive a $5 discount per registrant when registering together. Run/walk participants may purchase a tech t-shirt for $13; kids in the Fun Run receive a free tech t-shirt. The last day to guarantee a t-shirt size is Friday, April 10.

Pets are allowed if leashed and well-behaved. The course is suitable for strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs; those using them are asked to stay toward the back to allow runners to pass. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
