Event Details
The SOAR 5K is a community event hosted by the Welchester Elementary School PTA. It takes place on April 25, 2026, in Golden, Colorado. This is the third annual edition.
All proceeds support the Welchester PTA. Funds are used for student clubs, enrichment learning, classroom resources, and family community events.
Courses
The event includes three activities:
- SOAR 5K Run: A 5-kilometer run on a double loop course around Daniels Park and the Welchester Elementary community.
- SOAR 5K Walk: A 5-kilometer walk following the same course as the run.
- SOAR Kids Fun Run: A 1-kilometer non-competitive run for children aged 12 and under. The course loops through Welchester Tree Grant Park.
Additional Activities
A Kids Activity Village will be available. It includes yard games sponsored by Jeffco Library, sidewalk chalk art, emergency vehicle tours, a bounce house, and an inflatable slide.
Practical Information
T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by April 10, 2026. Welchester Elementary families receive a $5 discount per registrant when registering together. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
