Event Format
Hot Laps - Denver is a relay race for teams of four. The main race consists of teams trying to complete as many laps as they can in a 45-minute period. The top five teams from this round progress to a final round, where the fastest individual laps decide the winner.
Team Composition
Teams are mixed-gender. Each team must have at least one member of a different gender than the others (e.g., two women/two men, three women/one man). Participants form their own teams before registration. For those without a team, one will be assigned on race day at the registration table.
Logistics
The specific course location is listed as "TBD" (To Be Determined). Team captains can pick up team bibs and a baton from a specific Runners Roost store on a Wednesday prior to the event or on race day. Laps are tracked by volunteers who give runners a marker after each baton exchange in a designated zone. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
