Haw Ridge Trail Race : Event overview

Course, rules and safety
The 8 mile course includes some climbing early, then more flowing trail sections through Haw Ridge Park and stretches along the lake before returning to the finish. The kids course is almost all on trail and is almost exactly one mile.
Race rules include no refunds and no bib transfers. Course etiquette prohibits headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades, and pets. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify unsportsmanlike conduct.
One aid station will be set up roughly halfway at a lakeside picnic table; only very small cups will be available, so participants are advised to carry personal hydration. Runners sensitive to insect stings or bites are advised to carry medication. Safety policy notes that runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the adult race and that an 18:00/mile minimum pace will be enforced with a sweeper.
