US Road Running - Knoxville
The US Road Running event in Knoxville takes place at Holston River Park. This race is part of a series held throughout the year, open to the general public with no specialized club membership required to participate. The event headquarters and the starting line are located near Shelter #1.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 5K (out-and-back course completed two times)
- 10K (out-and-back course completed four times)
- Half Marathon (out-and-back course completed six times)
The 5K and 10K routes utilize a 0.78-mile out-and-back section, totaling 1.56 miles per lap. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09-mile out-and-back section, totaling 2.18 miles per lap. All events have a cumulative course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Registration must be completed online prior to the event, as there is no on-site registration available. Packet pickup is conducted at the race location shortly before the start. Every finisher receives a medal based on their completed distance. The event also includes an informal costume competition where participants can be photographed at the start for a chance to win an award.
