Event Overview
The Hot to Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day in Knoxville, Tennessee. This annual running event offers three distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 10 km race
- 5 km race
- 1 mile Fun Run
The courses are centered around Parkside Drive and the Turkey Creek area. The 5 km route begins in front of Fleet Feet Knoxville, proceeds through Turkey Creek, and loops back to finish in the parking lot. The 10 km event follows the same path but requires participants to complete the loop a second time. The Fun Run is an out-and-back course totaling 1 mile on Parkside Drive.

Registered participants receive event shirts based on their race category. Adults in the 5 km and 10 km races receive a Next Level long-sleeved unisex t-shirt, while youth participants receive a cotton long-sleeved version. Age group awards are also provided for the top three male and female finishers in brackets ranging from under 10 to over 85. These awards are handmade by a local artist.
