Event overview
The Hardin Valley Hawk Trot 5K takes place on November 26, 2026 in Knoxville, TN (11345 Hardin Valley Rd, 37932). The event includes the following races:
- 5 km (Hawk Trot 5k)
- 1 mile (Junior Hawk Mile run)
The 5K is open to ages 10 to 99. The Junior Hawk Mile is open to ages 1 to 12 and is capped at 100 runners. Listed entry fees are $32.80 for the 5K (including a $2.80 fee) and $22.20 for the Junior Mile (including a $2.20 fee). T-shirt orders are cut off four days before race day. Registration fees will increase for both events starting early November.
Course, facilities and awards
The course follows campus roads and parking lots at Hardin Valley Academy and returns to finish in the high school football stadium/track. Terrain includes some flat sections and light rolling hills. Packet pick up is available only on race morning on the HVA campus at the football/track complex. Restrooms are available near the start/finish area in the stadium and in academic buildings. Water will be provided at the halfway point. Attendees are asked to plan on parking in front of the high school to avoid disrupting the course.
Awards: top three overall per gender, top three per gender in 10-year age groups, and top master runner (over 40) per gender; no double awards for overall and age group.
