Hardin Valley Hawk Trot 5K
The Hardin Valley Hawk Trot 5K is a community running event held at Hardin Valley Academy in Knoxville, TN on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The course follows campus roads and parking areas, includes some flat and light rolling hills, and finishes in the high school football stadium on the track. A course map is provided for detailed description and terrain.
Packet pick up is available only on race morning at the HVA football and track complex. Restrooms are located near the start and finish area in the stadium and in academic buildings. Water is provided at the halfway point of the 5K. Participants are asked to plan parking in front of the high school to avoid disrupting the course.
Awards are given to the top three overall finishers by gender, to the top three in each 10-year age group by gender, and to the top master runners (over 40) by gender; an individual will not receive both an overall and an age-group award. All children who run the one-mile event receive a finisher medal and a festive participation gift. T-shirt orders are cut off four days before race day. Registration fees increase in early November.
