Trot for Education
Trot for Education is a community fundraiser held at Eagleton College and Career Academy, 2610 Cinema Drive, Maryville, TN on November 14, 2026. The event is sponsored by the Blount County Education Foundation; proceeds benefit BCEF, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports students and teachers in Blount County Schools.
The event program includes a one-mile fun run/walk and a USATF certified 5K that begins and ends on the ECCA football field. Virtual participation is available, including a themed virtual option called Saturday Afternoon Nap Taker. Virtual entries may complete the 5K or one-mile distance at a time and place of the participant's choosing.

Registration pricing is tiered by date: before 9/12 the fees are 1-Mile $15 and 5K $25; before 10/10 the fees are 1-Mile $20 and 5K $30; before 11/7 the fees are 1-Mile $25 and 5K $35, with family discounts available during that period; November 8-14 fees are 1-Mile $30 and 5K $40. A custom unisex t-shirt or beanie will be reserved for participants who register before November 2; giveaways after that date are while supplies last and will not be held or mailed.
Awards include cash for the top three overall men and women, category awards for masters and older age groups, and top-three awards by ten-year age groups. Awards follow USATF gun-time rules and must be claimed on event day. Post-race refreshments will be provided. Roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course; headphones are discouraged. The 5K course closes after 1 hour 15 minutes and course support ends at that cutoff. Race personnel may delay, cancel, suspend, or modify the event for dangerous weather; there are no refunds or bib transfers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
