Secret City Half Marathon and 5K
The Secret City Half Marathon and 5K take place in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, with in-person events on November 14, 2026 and virtual options available November 14 to November 28, 2026. Both races start and finish at the Melton Lake Park peninsula, located at 697 Melton Lake Drive, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
The event includes these distances:
- Half marathon follows a certified USATF course TN15066MS
- 5K follows a certified USATF course TN15077MS
The half marathon route runs along Melton Lake, passes by an operational quarry, continues on a tree-lined private road, and winds through Oak Ridge before returning to the peninsula along the water's edge. The 5K follows the lake shoreline to Elza Gate Park and then doubles back along a walking trail to the peninsula.
Packet pick up is scheduled for Thursday, November 12 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce, 1400 Oak Ridge Turnpike, and on race morning at the event site. Virtual participants have November 14 to November 28 to complete their runs and will receive mailed race items after November 28.
