Event details
The Secret City Half Marathon and 5K takes place in person on November 15, 2025, with virtual options from November 15 to 29, 2025. The event is centered at Melton Lake Park peninsula, 697 Melton Lake Dr., Oak Ridge, TN. The event benefits ADFAC. Entry details from the organizer list the following options and fees:
- Half Marathon : $73.08 (open to ages 12+)
- 5K : $41.28 (open to ages 8+)
- Virtual Half Marathon : $64.60 (registration ends November 22, 2025)
- Virtual 5K : $38.10 (registration ends November 22, 2025)
Price increases for in-person events occur after October 31, 2025.
Course and logistics
The half marathon route starts and finishes at the Melton Lake Park peninsula, follows Melton Lake, passes an operational quarry, runs along a tree-lined private road and through Oak Ridge, and returns along the water's edge. The half marathon is USATF certified, certification number TN15066MS. The 5K also starts and finishes at the peninsula, follows the lake to Elza Gate Park, then doubles back on the walking trail; its certification number is TN15077MS.
Packet pick up is scheduled for Thursday, November 13 at the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce, 1400 Oak Ridge Turnpike, and on race morning on site. Virtual participants may complete their run between November 15 and 29 and will receive race items by mail after November 29.
