Event Overview
The Pirate 5K, 10K, & 13.1M is a local running event held at South County Regional Park in Punta Gorda, Florida. The event offers participants a choice of three distinct distances on an asphalt surface. This is a pre-registration only event, as on-site registration is not available.
The race takes place on out-and-back courses within the park. Maintenance of the race schedule is supported by packet pickup which begins 30 minutes prior to the start. Facilities including bathrooms are located near the starting line, and parking is available by the baseball fields. All finishers receive a medal for their participation.
Distance Options
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K: Consists of two laps of the 1.56-mile out-and-back course.
- 10K: Consists of four laps of the 1.56-mile out-and-back course.
- Half Marathon: Consists of six laps of a 2.18-mile out-and-back course.
The event has a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all distances. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and an award is presented for the best costume at the start of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
