Haunted 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
This athletic event takes place at Shamrock Park in Venice, Florida. The race is part of the US Road Running series and features three distinct distances for participants to choose from. The course surface consists of a combination of concrete and asphalt paths.
Participants can find the start line on the path located behind the Nature Center. Facilities, including bathrooms, are available within the Nature Center building. The event follows an out-and-back format for all distances, with the specific number of laps determined by the chosen race length.
The available race distances include:
- 5K: A single out-and-back loop totaling 3.11 miles.
- 10K: Two repetitions of the out-and-back course.
- Half Marathon: Four repetitions of the out-and-back course totaling 13.1 miles.
A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all participants. All runners are required to register online prior to the event, as there is no registration available on the day of the race. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the official start. All participants who complete their designated course receive a finisher medal. There is also an optional costume competition for attendees.
