Flamingo 5K - Sarasota, FL
Flamingo 5K is scheduled for October 10, 2026 at 948 Beach Rd, Sarasota, Florida. The event is organized by My Favorite Race Events and includes in-person and virtual participation, plus a separate one-mile walking event. The course is described as a beach run and walk along Siesta Key Beach.

Registration for the in-person 5K and the one-mile walk opens October 25, 2025 and closes October 27, 2025; the listed fee for the 5K is $30 and for the walk is $25. Virtual registration opens October 25, 2025 and closes September 25, 2026; the listed fee for the virtual 5K is $45. The virtual option can be completed on the participant's chosen course and the event swag for virtual participants will be mailed approximately two weeks after the live event.
All participants receive a finisher's medal. Participants registered before the shirt cutoff on September 23rd will receive a gender specific tech tee; additional flamingo-themed swag options are available. A post-race Flamingo Fiesta is planned with food, music, awards, and activities for all ages.
For the in-person 5K, awards include male and female overall, youth overall (14 and under), and category awards from Masters through Senior Veteran Grandmasters with age groups three deep. A $5 club discount applies to members of Zoomers, MTC, and Sarasota Storm for the 5K only; the discount expires August 4, 2026. Proceeds will go to help Fighting Flamingos in the Sarasota County area to support breast cancer awareness while a foundation partner is sought.
