US Road Running - Venice
The Medal Madness event at Venice, Florida, takes place at Shamrock Park. The race start is located on the path situated behind the local Nature Center. Participants can access the starting area by moving through the Nature Center building, where restroom facilities are also available for use.
The event features three distinct distances for runners:
- 5K: A 3.11-mile out-and-back course completed once.
- 10K: The out-and-back course completed two times.
- Half Marathon: A 3.28-mile out-and-back course completed four times.
The race course consists of a combination of concrete and asphalt surfaces. There is a total time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all participants to complete their respective distances.
Packet pickup occurs at the event location starting 30 minutes prior to the race. Registration is managed through an online platform; there is no option for on-site registration on the day of the event. All finishers receive a medal upon completing their race. Optional activities associated with the event include a best costume competition, and runners can earn points toward a larger series.
