US Road Running - Longview
The US Road Running event in Longview, Texas, offers a series of road races held at the park located on the corner of East Fairmont Street and Princeton Avenue. This event features three primary distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
The competition is structured around multiple loops of out-and-back courses. Participants in the 5K complete a 1.56-mile out-and-back loop twice. Those participating in the 10K distance complete the same 1.56-mile loop four times. The Half Marathon utilizes a different 2.16-mile out-and-back loop, which must be completed six times to reach the total distance.
A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all participants. Registration must be completed online prior to arrival at the venue, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is scheduled at the site shortly before the start.
Finisher medals are awarded to all participants upon completion of their race. This event also includes a costume category where runners can compete for a best costume award. Membership in the US Road Running series allows participants to accumulate points throughout the racing season. Parking at the venue is limited.
