Strong Shall Stand 5K Run & Ruck
The Strong Shall Stand 5K is a community event held in Longview, Texas. The race starts and finishes at the Operation True North Headquarters. This event serves as a show of solidarity for veterans, active duty military, first responders, and health care workers. A portion of the proceeds from the race benefits Operation True North, a nonprofit organization that provide mental health services to these individuals and their families.
Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5K (chip-timed results)
- Kids' Dash (open to children ages 8 and under)
Registration for the 5K includes a custom commemorative event shirt, a custom race bib, and a finisher medal. The Kids' Dash provides participants with a custom race bib and a finisher item.
Awards are presented to the first, second, and third place male and female finishers in two divisions. The youth category includes participants aged 17 and under, while the overall category is for those aged 18 and older.
