Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Project One Roofing, 3505 W Loop 281, Longview, TX 75604. The 5K run is a competitive event with age-group awards for youth (17 and under) and overall (18 and older). The ruck is non-competitive and ruck weights are recommended not to exceed 40 pounds. Cash or gift-card prizes are listed for the top three overall finishers, and youth prizes include "Free Scoop Cards" from Wild Honey Creamery. A portion of event proceeds benefits Operation True North, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides mental health services to veterans, active duty military, first responders, health care workers, and their families.
