Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run
The Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run takes place on November 7, 2026 at the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center, 100 Grand Blvd., Longview, TX 75604. The starting point is at the West Gate of the Arboretum, facing Maude Cobb.
The event includes a 5K run/walk that benefits the Texas Oncology Foundation, with proceeds remaining in East Texas to support families facing cancer. A free children's race, the Little Bug Run, is offered for participants age 12 and under and follows a course through the Arboretum gardens. The Little Bug Run is approximately 1 mile.
Registration details and participant items are provided: registration for the 5K opens January 9, 2026 and closes June 1, 2026, with a registration fee of $30.00; Little Bug Run registration opens January 9, 2026 and the listed registration close date is November 8, 2026, with no fee. Registering by October 10 guarantees a t-shirt. All participants receive breakfast after the event, a Swag Bag, and a race bib. Registration includes admission to the Arboretum.
