Event Details

The Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Longview Arboretum & Nature Center in Longview, Texas. The event includes two separate activities. The primary event is a 5K run or walk. A free Little Bug Run is also available for children 12 years old and under.

The 5K benefits the Texas Oncology Foundation, with proceeds used to support families facing cancer in East Texas. The starting point for the 5K is at the Arboretum's West Gate, facing Maude Cobb.

Participant Information

Registration for the 5K includes admission to the Longview Arboretum & Nature Center on the day of the event. All 5K participants receive breakfast after the race, a swag bag, and a race bib. A commemorative t-shirt is guaranteed for those who register by October 10, 2026. Wearing butterfly wings is a fun, encouraged tradition for participants.
