Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run
The Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026. It is the 4th annual edition of the event.
The event includes two activities:
- Pilar McLemore Butterfly 5K Run: A 5K run/walk.
- Little Bug Run: A free run for children 12 years and under.
The 5K benefits the Texas Oncology Foundation. The proceeds stay in East Texas to support families facing cancer.
The event is held at the Longview Arboretum & Nature Center. The starting point is at the West Gate of the Arboretum, facing Maude Cobb. The address is 100 Grand Blvd., Longview, Texas.
Participants who register by October 10, 2026, are guaranteed a t-shirt. All participants receive breakfast after the race, a swag bag, and a race bib. Event registration also includes admission to the Arboretum.
Butterfly wings are encouraged but not mandatory for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
