Medal Madness 5K, 10K, & 13.1M : Gadsden, AL
Medal Madness takes place on March 28, 2026 at James Martin Trail Park in Gadsden, AL 35901. The event offers three race distances: a 5K, a 10K, and a half marathon. Registration is handled online through RunSignup and there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race.
The courses are run primarily on a pea gravel trail behind the Gadsden Mall. The organizer describes both the shorter and longer routes as out-and-back segments that are repeated to reach the race distances: the 5K repeats a shorter out-and-back segment twice, the 10K repeats it four times, and the half marathon repeats a longer out-and-back segment six times. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies.
Participants and visitors are advised that GPS devices may direct them to a small building on Old S 4th Street; if so, proceed south on Old S 4th Street and turn right into the parking lot. The event includes finisher medals and has provisions for shirts, gear, costume recognition, series points, and awards.
