Event details
The Medal Madness event takes place on March 28, 2026 in Gadsden, Alabama at James Martin Trail Park, 829 Old S 4th St, Gadsden, AL 35901. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All runners must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is applied. Finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume category, series points, and awards are listed as part of the event program.
Course and logistics
The courses are on a pea gravel trail near the Gadsden Mall. Entrants are advised that GPS may direct them to a small building on Old S 4th Street; if so, go south on Old S 4th Street and turn right in the parking lot to reach the park.

- A short loop is 0.78 miles one way (out-and-back 1.56 miles). The 5K uses that out-and-back twice and the 10K uses it four times. A 15K option would use it six times.
- A longer loop is 1.09 miles one way (out-and-back 3.18 miles). The Half Marathon uses that out-and-back six times.
