Event
The Luau race takes place on May 9, 2026, at James Martin Trail Park, 829 Old S 4th St, Gadsden, AL 35901. The event includes the following race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All participants must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. The event offers finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, awards, and a best costume category.
Course and logistics
The course runs on a pea gravel trail behind the Gadsden Mall. The 5K and 10K use an out-and-back segment of 1.56 miles; the 5K repeats that segment two times and the 10K repeats it four times. The half marathon uses an out-and-back segment of 3.18 miles repeated six times. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies.
Participants are advised that GPS directions may lead to a small building on Old S 4th Street; in that case, go south on Old S 4th Street and turn right into the parking lot.
