Race Details
The event is called the Luau 5K, 10K, & 13.1M at Gadsden, AL. It takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The races start at James Martin Trail Park, located at 829 Old S 4th St in Gadsden, Alabama.
The event offers three distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
All races start together. Participants must register online via RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race start and ends 10 minutes before it begins.
Course Information
The course is a pea gravel trail situated just behind the Gadsden Mall. Runners should be aware that GPS navigation might direct them to a small building on Old S 4th Street; from there, they should go south on Old S. 4 Street and turn right into the parking lot.
The 5K and 10K course uses a 0.78-mile out-and-back segment. The 5K race completes this segment twice. The 10K race completes it four times. The 15K race completes it six times.
The Half Marathon course uses a 1.09-mile out-and-back segment. The Half Marathon race completes this segment six times to achieve the 13.1-mile distance.
